Model #FSTM structures for MCC standard top running single girder cranes with chain or wire rope hoist. Crane capacity ranges of 2000 lbs to 20,000 lbs. Structures are ideal to implement free standing crane systems in spaces where it is not possible to brace structure back to building steel for stability. Structure are designed to anchor to 6" minimum concrete reinforced floor, or specific foundations as required.
FSTM structures are available in overall heights of 20ft. and 25ft; widths from 20ft to 50ft, and standard lengths (base cells) of 20ft, 25ft, or 30ft. Structure lengths can be expanded indefinitely in the same increment as the original cell length by purchasing additional cells. Every fourth cell in the length is required to be a base (braced) cell. Structure dimensions can be modified to your particular requirements if required.
It is important to note that the structures above are truly Free Standing, and do not require further bracing for stability, as is common in many competing free standing systems.
Structures are designed by our in house professional engineer, licensed in the state of Michigan. Our engineer designs each structure to meet or exceed the stress and deflection requirements of the American Institute of Steel Construction (A.I.S.C.) and Crane Manufacturers Association of America (C.M.A.A.). Runways are designed using custom designed software that enables us to determine the most economical sections available to save you money.
Pre-engineered structures come complete with: columns, anchors (chemical or expansion), cross headers, brace headers, runway headers, plan view bracing, longitudinal bracing, 4-bar runway conductor (motorized only), gray primer finish paint, A325 bolting hardware, and ACAD installation drawings.
